Important Information
Terms & Conditions of Entry
- All Australian and international artists are eligible for entry into the prizes (except the Youth Scholarship which is open to Australian young artists only).
- All entries must be original painting works completed solely by the entrant
- Artworks must not exceed 2m x 2m (including frame), except for the Vistas Prize which must not exceed 80 x 80cm. The size limit refers to the length of any one side, and does not refer to area or average.
- All artworks entered must have been created between 2009-2011
- Each artwork can only be submitted once and for one prize
- Paintings in any medium (oil, acrylic, watercolour, ink etc) are accepted for all prizes except the Youth Prize which accepts all mediums. Photographs and prints are not eligible.
- Multi panel pieces are accepted as one work and must not exceed the size limits as a whole.
- Artworks entered must be available for exhibition throughout the Fleurieu Art Prize 2011 plus installation time, 24 October - 5 December 2011
- Artworks selected for exhibition to be delivered to the exhibition venue on Monday 24th October 2011
- Unsold artworks are to be collected on Monday 5th December 2011 from the venue at which the work is exhibited.
- All costs associated with collection and transport of the artwork are the responsibility of the artist.
- Artists are responsible for their own insurance of the works for the term of the exhibition, install, deinstall and transport of the works, the event organisers take no responsibility for insuring the works.
- Artworks entered in all categories except the Vistas Prize are non acquisitive.
- All entrants consent to their work being reproduced without fee by the Fleurieu Art Prize and the media for the purpose of critical review, advertising and publicity, promotional materials and catalogues for the Fleurieu Art Prize 2011 and future events, and creating non-commercial archive and non-lending reference or database.
- The use or otherwise of images submitted is entirely at the discretion of the Fleurieu Art Prize.
- Photocopies and photographs or other reproductions not accepted for judging.
- Fleurieu Art Prize reserve the right to exhibit selected finalists work only.
- All works submitted for exhibition must be clearly labeled on the reverse side with artist name and title of the work.
- All works must be available for sale. Entries will not be pre-sold before the official launch.
- If the artist is registered for GST the artist's price must be GST inclusive.
- All works must be ready for hanging. Flat D rings to be placed at the back of the work, 10cm from the top edge of the piece. Please remove any other wire or hanging system as they may damage the work.
- Any costs associated with securely preparing the works for hanging will be passed on to the artist.
Sales & Commission
- Artists to provide artist price. The Fleurieu Biennale will add 35% commission to the artist's price as per that submitted plus 10% GST on that commission.
- Artists must have an ABN to receive payment for sold work or prize money, or complete the "Statement of Supplier" form to be found on the Australian Taxation Office website.
- Prices cannot be altered after submission.
- The artist appoints The Fleurieu Art Prize as the sole agent of the painting or paintings entered for the duration of the Fleurieu Biennale.

- Selected finalists to be notified via email on 16th September 2011
- Delivery of selected works to the exhibition venue Monday 24th October 2011
- Main Prize Launch 3 November 2011
- Exhibition dates 4 November - 4 December 2011
- Gala Dinner & Announcement of Winners 12 November 2011
- Collection of unsold works Monday 5th December 2011
Fees
- Entry is $45 per work per category, except the Youth Scholarship which is $25
- Entry fee include pre selection judging, inclusion in the exhibitions if selected, administration and handling
- Entry fees are non refundable

Disclaimer
- Judges decision final and may not be appealed.
- Artists are responsible for maintaining insurance cover during transport and delivery. Upon arrival artworks will be inspected for damage prior to being accepted. Damaged works will be returned to the artist.
